Why wait for babies when you can fast-track with IVF?
According to today’s Guardian, couples with no fertility problems may be opting for IVF to cut out the time and hassle of babymaking. One of these couples may be Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt who, apparently, didn’t have the time or patience to try the usual way. It is possible that this trend may be encouraged by fertility clinics that aim to improve their success rates by treating fertile young couples instead of infertile old crocs. This may be happening at a clinic near you, “although no one can put a figure on this phenomenon”.
What I would like to know is, where are these magical clinics where you can get an instant appointment and then get pregnant, almost guaranteed it seems, on your first go?

another baby.

And another……………..
Rebecca Romijn and her husband, Jerry O’Connell, are expecting twins, their rep confirms to PEOPLE.
The babies are due this winter. A source tells PEOPLE that both babies will be girls. The twins were conceived without the help of in vitro fertilization or the fertility drug Clomid, a source close to the couple also says.
YEAH RIGHT!!

When you have money and clout, you can make (babies) happen. There’s IVF to save time, nannies to change diapers and raise children while the parents make movies – celebrities are taking love out of the whole family building equation. It’s a little sickening.

Deno – how are you getting on?
August 1st, 2008 at 12:51 pm
Had my first scan yesterday, we got a hb! I was shocked, I convinced myself it was already gone. I measured bang on 8 weeks and heart rate was 156bpm. I will have weekly scans, if I make it 10-11 weeks I will get the CVS test. I have been really sick, vomiting all day long. It subsided over the weekend, which sent me over the edge. But I am still feeling very sick. The buzz from yesterday is already starting to wear off………I am terrified.

Fantastic deno! But I know it is terrifying, whether you get good news or bad. Have you been this sick before?

I have been sick like this before (shite!!!), but I never actually vomited. It has tapered off quite a bit and I am freaking out. It is just so difficult to see a heart beat, it should be a joyous experience. Instead I start to get attached and let my guard down. I go for my scan Thursday morning. Week 8-10 is usually when things go wrong for me. I just hope this one stays with me. I want it so bad.
