  • Still here!

40+6 today and nothing stirring.  Obs did a sweep on Tues, cervix was already 2-3cm open and ready to go.  Had a bit of a show later that night but was probably just due to the sweep.  But still no pains at all.  Am booked in to have waters broken on Monday morning and am sort of resigned to that now – seems my body is bad at getting babies in and out.  So for those of you that are tired checking in on me, I will definitely have baby by Tues!

Yes, I keep checking! Best of luck and I hope something happens over the weekend. I had similar experiences and I remember eating the hottest curry I’ve ever had in an attempt to get things going – poor child kicked like mad for 3 hours and I felt very guilty after so not to be recommended! Looking forward to reading the good news next week.

Tee-hee, guilty as charged! :) Keep scanning Google reader for baby news… even stalking John as well!

Caramelised onions are a great one. Stick em on EVERYTHING! Add a hot curry and lots of fattening stuff and you’ll be away. Gastric contractions should get things going!

Best of luck Fiona! Will be thinking of you guys!

I’m still waiting too, 40+4 today and don’t feel like I’m going anywhere.

I’ll be induced next Thursday if I haven’t gone in the mean time so you never know, I might still meet you on the corridors as we’re going to the same hospital. Good luck, hope you have her soon!

    9. Amber Says:

Take as many warm lavender baths as you can, I absolutely swear byt them to get labout going.

Still watching and waiting too, Fiona

That daughter of yours knows her comfort zone. Just wait till she hits her teens and won’t get out of bed!

I was admitted to be induced for my first baby @ 42+2

Once in the hospital, I went into labour naturally and beat them to it. That baby will be 25 years old tomorrow and yet it still feels like only yesterday.

I’ll be thinking of you. Happy days ahead!

Best of luck Fiona. Hopefully you will go before that and not need your waters broken.
