I’m still here!!!  Baby’s head is engaged, cervix is soft and favourable, bags are packed, work is finished, house is clean and we’re just about ready to go.  I had some pains last night but nothing today.  My acupuncturist reckons I’ll have a baby by the end of the week.  I am not so convinced – DS had to be sucked out of me after a long induction at 42 weeks.  I don’t mind though – I am feeling fine and would be happy enough to spend a week or so reading books and going to the cinema or having a laugh with DS.  This is one waiting game I can handle.

This must be a much more pleasant waiting game than the traditional kind. Enjoy those last few days and best of luck with the delivery! I’m so excited for you.

      hi fiona

i’m a late enterant into your life! I heard u on the radio and saw you on the tv. I was pregnant at that time. This was our 6th fertility treatment and finally, one took! But on 12th May I lost the baby and I’m bereft and heartbroken, basically just broken in general. I’ve been reading your blogs, as many as I can without going blind with tears! I wanted to say I’m so so so pleased for you. Good God woman what a journey! May your life be full of joy and nappies and baby gurgles! I’ll keep an eye to see when you’re going into hospital to continue this great part of the adventure. Good luck, you’re an inspiration particuarly through these incredibly different times for myself and hubby. Let me say in my best Oprah Winfrey voice “You go, girl!”

jeanette – so sorry to hear about your miscarriage, it’s so unfair and so heartbreaking when you’ve been through so much already. I hope everything turns around for you very soon.

Thanks everyone for checking in on me – I am still here but will let you know asap if anything changes.
