First thing this morning, my husband sent me this:
J caught me sobbing in front of the computer. I explained to him that sometimes when people are very, very happy, they cry. I showed him the video and told him that Daddy had sent it to me because he loves me very, very much. J threw his arms around me and said “I love you very, very much too”.
How much better can today get?!?!??
Jesus Feebee it’s like it was written for you. What a wonderful man John is.
Feck you, I’m bawling – BAWLING!!!!
Beautiful.
Thats beautiful Feebee, what a lovely DH you have.
If you read my birth story you’ll see that I sang/screamed/wailed this as I pushed out my beautiful baby girl.
Bear it in mind next April 🙂
What two wonderful men you have..
I’m a long term huge Nick Cave fan but I couldn’t listen to this song for a couple of years. It has a huge number of memories for me related to an ex-boyfriend. He died in an accident and when asked by his family, I chose this song to be played at his funeral.
As with tragedy, there’s always humour. I sat with his folks and a rather curmudgeonly, offhand priest, listening to possible music we could use for the mass. The priest had insensitively vetoed a Bob Dylan song as the father sobbed quietly. So as the opening line started (“I don’t believe in an interventionist God”), I faked a coughing fit, so that this narky priest wouldn’t reject it.
Lots of people said after the funeral that as well as being a beautiful song, that line booming out around the church added a two-fingered sentiment to the whole church/mass hoopla, which my friend wouldn’t have cared for.
Thanks for posting that particular clip, I hadn’t seen it.
If you want to cry to a video – you have to check out Kate Bush’s ‘This Woman’s Work’. Breaks my heart every time (even if it’s a bit melodramatic), but it’s more about the song, and the Trio Bulgarka doing the background vocals.
And yes that is Percy from Blackadder in the vid.

Sinead, I’m sorry for the loss of your friend.
I don’t think the church believe in an interventionist God either, that’s the problem isn’t it? They tell you to pray but then when they die anyway they tell you it was Gods will to have it that way. Free will and preordination and all that malarky.
When my brother died, we buried him on his 34th birthday, we played all sorts of his favourite music without any intervention on the part of the church.
Why does music make you cry so much? I keep opening this link. It’s just so wonderful.
Feebee – Hope you’re doing great today Darling – I look forward to seeing your pregnant self this afternoon.
Thanks…I’m now bawling at the song, and your 2 wonderful men!!!
Feebee – I am delighted at your news…so wonderful…
Derv – remember your story so well….

Wow Feebee, congratulations hun! I’m so happy to read this news! x
Sinead – Yes, I cried.
Very sorry about your ex-boyfriend and sad to hear another story about the Church veto. We got married in the Unitarian church and had no such problem. I remember the minister chuckling to himself during the first chorus of “There is a light that never goes out” – by the second chorus he had his hand over his mouth he was laughing so much.

Good post and straight to the point. I am not sure if this is in fact the best place to ask but do you people have any ideea where to employ some professional writers? Thank you 🙂
You made various good points there. I did a search on the subject matter and found mainly people will have the same opinion with your blog.
Yet another thing I would like to convey is that in lieu of trying to match all your online degree lessons on days that you finish work (considering that people are tired when they return), try to obtain most of your sessions on the saturdays and sundays and only 1 or 2 courses for weekdays, even if it means taking some time off your saturdays. This is beneficial because on the saturdays and sundays, you will be much more rested and also concentrated for school work. Thanks a bunch for the different recommendations I have discovered from your website.
As a Newbie, I am always searching online for articles that can help me. Thank you
